Thoughtful summary by fmr CFTC Chair J. Christopher Giancarlo of a speech requiring close atttention to fully understand and appreciate. While flattery was showered early in the speech on the “high IQ” crypto community, I am surprised that more were not offended by the closing comment aptly captured in the last sentence of The New York Times article: https://lnkd.in/ef9mUTXU

“Have a good time with your Bitcoin and your crypto, and everything else that you’re playing with.”

Is “playing” ALL we have been doing with crypto for the last 15/10/5/2 years?

Looking forward to the response Alma M. Angotti Liat Shetret Emma Channing Amanda Wick Association for Women in Cryptocurrency and #everyone else I have had the pleasure to meet and WORK with over the last 15 years.

What a privilege (and honor of course) to host Carole House for an hour-long discussion on cybersecurity, digital assets and US policy on her last day in the private sector. As we all know, a one-hour conversation with Carole is more like a three-hour conversation with a mere mortal. The breadth and depth of her knowledge and experience with both the issues and the underlying technologies as well as her sensitivities to the nuanced discussions they warrant make us hopeful that the increasing polarization we have been witnessing can be dialed back in the interest of meaningful progress. (Hint - if you like to listen to podcasts at 1.5x, be prepared for a very fast ride.)
