Carole Howard is a former councillor and High Sheriff of Belfast who has served in various political roles in Northern Ireland.23 She was previously a member of the Alliance Party and represented the Titanic electoral area in east Belfast.1 Howard later defected from the Alliance Party to join the Ulster Unionist Party (UUP) in December 2021.1
