Caroline Muchai is an accomplished professional with a strong background in development studies and extensive experience in humanitarian work across various organizations.

Caroline holds a postgraduate degree in Development Studies from the University of South Africa and a Master of Science (MSc.) in Development from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.

She currently serves as a Programme Policy Officer focusing on Livelihoods at the World Food Programme in Somalia, where she contributes to improving food security and sustainable livelihoods for communities in need.

Prior to her current role, Caroline held key positions in several prestigious organizations including Oxfam, CARE, and the United Nations Development Program.

At Oxfam, Caroline worked as a Humanitarian Program Coordinator in Wajir, overseeing and managing vital programs that aimed to alleviate suffering and enhance resilience among vulnerable populations.

During her tenure at CARE, Caroline served in various capacities such as Emergency Response Coordinator in different regions like Cambodia and Pakistan, Team Leader in Sindh, Pakistan, and Emergency Food Coordinator & Area Manager for food programs.

Caroline also contributed her expertise as a UN Volunteer Programme Officer at the Office of the President and as a Programme Assistant at the World Food Programme, showcasing her diverse skill set and commitment to making a positive impact on global development.

Her rich experience and academic background have equipped Caroline with a deep understanding of humanitarian issues, development strategies, and program management, making her a valuable asset in the field of international aid and development.
