Carolyn Egelman is a talented individual who transitioned from engineering to social science, combining a strong technical background with expertise in extracting meaningful insights from data.

Carolyn holds a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science from Penn State University.

With a diverse professional background, Carolyn has held roles such as Insights Sr. Manager, Insights Manager, and Research Scientist at Medallia, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Carnegie Mellon Tepper School of Business, and various positions as a Graduate and Undergraduate Research Assistant.

In addition to her industry experience, Carolyn has also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University and gained valuable insights working as an Engineering Aide at Applied Research Laboratory, The Pennsylvania State University, and as a Senior Campus Representative at Apple.
