I find myself thinking today of one of the most influential people in my career -- my mentor and friend, Sandra Seville-Jones. She died five years ago today. She was a trailblazer for women in law firms, and she was a champion of the women who came up behind her. I still hear her voice cheering me on and telling me that I am amazing when I most need to hear it. She helped support and build a bevy of women who are out there crushing it in the legal world: Rosemarie Ring, Melinda LeMoine, Blanca Fromm Young, Hailyn Chen, Miriam Kim and more. She was taken from us too soon, but we will aim to continue in her example and champion and cheer on those women who come up behind us. We miss you Sandra.
Congratulations to my former Munger Tolles colleague Cathleen H. for being recognized by the San Francisco Bar Association with their “Rising Star Award” at the BASF in-house counsel awards event tonight above the fog at the top of Salesforce Tower.
