🎃 There was no grand plan when I first posted our pumpkin cookies for sale on Instagram 3 years ago...
It was the height of COVID. Our world was craving nourishment.
We were lonely, tired, and starved of connection.
Orders started rolling in from all over the country and I scrambled to figure out shipping.
But for the local orders...
Those we delivered by hand and I began to witness the cookie magic.
Food is a simple vehicle for nourishment. It's our common ancestral language.
We break bread with friends and strangers.
We celebrate life with food, love with food, death with food.
We embrace the joy that nourishes our souls.
What began as an impromptu idea has led to a medium for nourishment.
Something so basic and necessary for survival. We all need connection.
Now more than ever.
Such an honor for us to provide a simple act of connection for you and your loved ones.
We're noticeably jubilant for our Halloween drop this year :)
Here’s some of our favorite smiles during the cookie business...
How do you discover a life filled with purpose?
There's one simple question we can all ask ourselves according to my friend, Bob.
Whether choosing a major, a career, a new business venture, or a new path in life.
This is Bob's story.
Bob was studying biology in undergrad but became frustrated when no one knew the answers to the most interesting questions proposed in class.
“How dumb”, he thought.
"I want to learn. Why would I study something that no one knows the answers to?!"
Bob loved reading so he switched majors to English.
After college he got a job in publishing and spent 30 years selling textbooks.
He enjoyed the day-to-day. The energy from college campuses. Meeting with professors from different departments all across the country.
But, something was missing. In retirement Bob thought maybe he should've stuck with biology.
"I was so curious about how things worked."
“Studying Biology wasn't dumb...I was dumb for expecting answers. The questions were there for me to answer. The best way to learn is by answering questions. "
When considering life decisions don’t think of what you like or what interests you.
Consider what questions interest you and what questions you want answers to.
Those questions will keep you curious. Those questions are what the world needs answered.
When we combine our own curious drive with something the world needs, that's purpose.
It’s on us to find the answers.
