Cassandra Atherton

Cassandra Atherton is an award-winning Australian prose-poet, critic, and scholar known for her expertise in prose poetry and poets as public intellectuals, especially hibakusha poets. She has had a distinguished academic career, including being a Visiting Scholar at Harvard University and a Visiting Fellow at Sophia University in Tokyo. Cassandra has authored over thirty critical and creative books, co-authored 'Prose Poetry: An Introduction' for Princeton University Press, and co-edited the 'Anthology of Australian Prose Poetry' for Melbourne University Press. Her work has been featured in various prestigious publications around the world. Cassandra has received multiple awards, grants, and teaching recognitions, showcasing her impact in the literary field. She is actively involved in editorial roles for Westerly Magazine, Axon Journal, and MadHat Press. With a strong commitment to the literary community, Cassandra has served as a judge for several notable literary awards and is currently the series editor of Spineless Wonders microlit anthologies.
