Highlights
Filing my taxes and its the first year I created 1099's for employees I hired last year! I facilitated a set of meetings with nonprofit leaders in Michigan, helped create a scoring process and matrix and later conducted compliance review to disperse millions in ARPA funds amongst their nonprofits to compensate for losses during the pandemic.
Here is a quote about our work: "As of today, over $32.5 million has been granted to nearly 2000 small nonprofit organizations across Michigan, and your dedication, intelligence, and professionalism played a crucial role in making this happen. Just last week, your impact was highlighted during an evaluation feedback session, where those involved in structuring the application shared how supported they felt by our team, especially citing the meeting you facilitated."
Thanks to Catalyst Evaluation & Consulting and Michigan Nonprofit Association for trusting me and my team!
In past attempts to secure executive director roles, I was passed up because I was told the organization's board didn't believe I could raise money.
In 2017, I founded the Louisville Association for Community Economics. In 2021 when I resigned as board chair I had raised roughly $1.5M that year to seed LACE's work to be the cooperative educator and developer for the Louisville Community Grocery.
I'm not in the grant writing game though for the right price I may :) I'm more interested in coaching clients on strategy, narrative and relationship building - all the things to help you make the right ask to the right funder.
