Cassondra Branderhorst

Community Relations Manager and Criminal Justice Lead at OneFifteen

Cassondra (Cassie) Branderhorst is a seasoned professional with a strong background in criminal justice programming, policy reform, non-profit management, behavioral healthcare, social determinants of health, and public policy.

With over 15 years of experience, she has worked in various capacities within the public and private sectors, focusing on issues related to criminal justice systems, population health management, stakeholder engagement, community coalition building, market research, report writing, and substance use disorder prevention and treatment.

Her career started in Federal Law Enforcement and has since involved extensive policy, technical assistance, and research work in behavioral healthcare, particularly in relation to special populations such as those in the criminal justice system, homelessness, and women.

Noteworthy organizations she has collaborated with include Verily Life Sciences (formerly Google Life Sciences), Gateway Foundation-Corrections Division, SAMHSA, the United States Federal Courts-Northern District of Illinois, HHRN, the Council of State Governments' Justice Center, TASC, NASADAD, as well as various state, county, and local governments, and law enforcement agencies nationwide.

Cassie has also taught Criminal Justice courses as adjunct faculty at Roosevelt University and currently serves as a board member for the National Alliance on Mental Illness Montgomery County Ohio.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice (with honors) from Michigan State University and a Master of Science in Public Service Management-Public Policy from DePaul University.
