Cat Carter is a professional with a strong focus on transforming global approaches to accountability, particularly in engaging with crisis-affected children and communities, enhancing accountability to young individuals, and empowering youth.

She serves as a guest lecturer at Durham University in the MSc Defence, Development & Diplomacy program and holds the role of Safeguarding Trustee at Able Child Africa.

Cat Carter holds a BA in International Relations & Anthropology from the University of Sussex and has been honored with the British Empire Medal for her humanitarian services.

With extensive experience in various roles at Save the Children International and Save the Children UK, she has held positions such as Global Lead for Community Engagement & Accountability, Head of Humanitarian Child Safeguarding, Senior Conflict & Humanitarian Safeguarding Advisor, Head of Humanitarian Information and Communications, Advisor to the Director, and Executive Assistant to the Head of Child Survival.
