Grateful to Maya Townsend for her blog on Why Facilitators Need Deep Democracy (see: https://lnkd.in/eQpkRh6j). I'll add another reason: Because making sure all the voices in the room is key to equity. Marginalized voices - people of the Global Majority, queer folks, women, and people with non-dominant communications styles, like introverts - are often heard less in meetings. Their views show up less in decisions. Deep Democracy can be an important tool for lifting up and centering those voices. #equity #equityandinclusion
