Caterina Giavotto

Tanatologa culturale, Assistente spirituale nella malattia e nel fine vita, Istruttrice di protocolli basati sulla mindfulness e sulle pratiche contemplative

Caterina Giavotto is a dedicated individual who has explored the depths of meditation and mindfulness throughout her life, finding it to be a powerful tool for self-discovery and well-being.

Having been inspired by encountering Buddhist monks in her childhood, she delved into various meditation practices and traditions, both mahayana and theravada.

After a successful 20-year career in publishing as an editor, she felt drawn towards socially impactful endeavors, particularly in the realm of providing aid and assistance.

This led her to volunteer at Vidas, assisting incurable patients, and pursue a Master's degree in 'Spiritual Assistance to Incurable Patients' at the specialized school of Associazione TuttoèVita in Prato.

Intrigued by the growing popularity of mindfulness and the beneficial effects of meditation in her own life, Caterina pursued a Master's program in 'Neurosciences, Mindfulness, and Contemplative Practices' at the University of Pisa.

Believing in the importance of inner exploration for personal growth and ethical living, she advocates for utilizing internal resources to enhance the quality of life and benefit all sentient beings.

She has a diverse educational background, including studying culinary arts, classics, and earning a Master's degree in 'Neurosciences, Mindfulness, and Contemplative Practices' among others.

Caterina Giavotto also has a rich professional history working as a Tanatologist, instructing mindfulness-based protocols, and holding editorial roles at respected organizations such as Mondadori Electa and Rizzoli.
