I am sitting now in the reception room at Young Dental Group in my hometown of San Mateo where all of this started in 2014. I had camped out at my sister’s dental practice to interview all her patients about their oral care issues, and it’s here where I learned that gum disease is a huge source of misery for nearly everyone. These first-hand experiences convinced me to team up with my sister (and dentist) on this crazy floss idea she was nagging me on.
Years later, it’s very cool to see our floss dream continue to flourish. We are grateful to our community of dentists, hygienists, and staff who have rallied around our mission; to our parents, family, and friends who have poured in so much labor and energy to help us just because; to our partners whose dedication to quality and sustainability fuel us; to our teammates who make all this possible; and to our customers who energize us.
