Catherine Lacavera is a highly accomplished legal professional, currently serving as Color's Chief Legal Officer and Registered In-house Counsel in California, licensed in New York, and registered before the USPTO.

With a background in Computer Engineering and a unique combination of a J.D./M.B.A from the University of Toronto, Catherine gained invaluable skills that propelled her career to great heights.

During her tenure as the Vice President at Google, she led a team that excelled in global litigation, employment, and regulatory investigations. Her team's achievements include victories in over 1000 patent and intellectual property cases, notably the high-profile industry-defining copyright battles against Viacom and Oracle, and trade secret disputes against Uber.

Catherine Lacavera's expertise extends to advising on significant corporate transactions like the acquisition of Motorola Mobility for $12.5 billion, the purchase of Nest for $3.2 billion, and the sale of Motorola Home to Arris for $2.2 billion. She also played a key role in securing a $490 million multi-party license with TiVo.

Acknowledged for her outstanding contributions, Catherine received an honorary doctorate of law from the University of Toronto, was named in Fortune's top 40 under 40, recognized as one of the most influential figures in the field of intellectual property, and received induction into the Canadian Academy of Engineering.
