Life is short - spend your time building companies that walk the walk, and use their brands to amplify values you believe in. We did that at Seed Health today. 🌱
We learned this week that Molly Baz and Swehl's collaboration ad had been censored and pulled off rotation from a digital billboard in Time Square. The ad, which featured Molly, her beautiful pregnant belly and lactation cookies, was deemed ‘inappropriate’. The media picked the story up, noting the blatant double standard embedded in this decision, and highlighting the persistent sexualization of women in traditional advertising.
Over the last days Ara Katz and Charles Fulford collaborated on a brilliant rebuttal, and working together with Molly, donated our billboard in Time Square to put lactation cookies back into their rightful place. So proud of the work, the agility and the creativity of our team … and also proud of the NYT for giving Molly the last word. 🍪.
