Cecilie Gundersen is a professional with a vast educational background and extensive experience in disaster risk management, climate change adaptation, international development, and international relations.

She holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation from Lund University, a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in International Development Studies and International Relations from Roskilde Universitetscenter, and completed undergraduate studies as an Erasmus Student in Geography at the University of Utrecht.

Cecilie has been actively involved in various roles at the World Food Programme, serving as the Activity Manager for Asset Creation and Livelihoods & Technical Assistance for EPR, the Social Protection Programme Policy Officer, Programme Policy Officer, Junior Consultant for Country Strategic Planning, and involved in Capacity Strengthening for Emergency Preparedness and Response.

Prior to her work at the World Food Programme, she gained experience as a Local Assistant at the Office of Rina Ronja Kari MEP and as a Trainee at the European Parliament.

Her background demonstrates a strong commitment and expertise in addressing global challenges related to food security, disaster management, social protection policies, and strategic planning.
