I am very excited to announce that a year after leading our product and design functions, I will be officially taking on the role of Chief Product Officer at Flashfood!
In the early days of Flashfood, my focus was to help bring this marketplace idea to life – to make it simple and sustainable. I remember backing an unmarked rental truck to our first partner’s dock to deliver our first Flashfood fridge and having the receiver go “Flash what!?”
Fast forward, we scaled across Canada to great success, entered the US market, working closely with our partners at all levels in the organization to make our product a seamless experience, a part of their daily routines.
After leading internal operations for several years, we reached a point where we need to transition to a product-led organization to support the next stages of growth. With my change management background prior to Flashfood, I agreed to lead the transformation until we found a new product leader.
Since then there have been many sprints, wins and learnings. One of the things I learned about myself is that Product is where I thrive: living the customer problem, building solutions with empathy, inspiring teams to deliver hard things in simple ways.
Today, on the eve of launching EBT payments with our first US partner, and with the support of our amazing product and engineering teams, I am truly excited to tackle the next phase of our growth. As Chief Product Officer, I am focused on reimagining retail as a place without waste and bringing Flashfood to the tables of families across North America. LFG!
