Emilya Cermak is a seasoned professional with over 13 years of experience in conflict zones and headquarters, specializing in peacekeeping and peace building.

She holds two master's degrees, including an LLM in Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, with expertise in various areas such as human rights law, humanitarian law, women's rights, children's rights, conflict resolution, mediation, and capacity building.

Emilya's skill set also includes project implementation, legal analysis, profiling, documentation, planning and organizing, management, transitional justice, humanitarian assistance, CVE, SGBV, investigations, monitoring, and partnership building.

Her educational background includes studying Human Rights at the University of Nottingham, International Relations and Affairs at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, and International Relations and Human Rights at the Université de Geneve.

Throughout her career, Emilya has held key positions such as Coordinator of the Humanitarian Action Unit and Liaison Officer at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.

She has also served as a Team Leader at the Department of Peacekeeping Operations at the United Nations, as well as fulfilling roles as a Human Rights Officer at DPKO with UNMISS and MONUC.
