Charles Barone is an experienced professional with a rich background in education service, research, policy, and advocacy. With over thirty years in the field, he has gained a wealth of knowledge and expertise that sets him apart. Charles holds a Ph.D. in Clinical/Community Psychology from the University of Maryland and a B.A. in Experimental Psychology from UC Santa Barbara. Throughout his career, he has held various key positions in prestigious organizations such as Vice President for K-12 Policy and Policy Director at Education Reform Now, where he played a pivotal role in shaping education policies. Prior to that, he served as a Consultant and Deputy Staff Director & Legislative Director at the U.S. House of Representatives, and as an Education Policy Advisor at the United States Senate. His academic journey includes roles as a Postdoctoral Fellow and a Predoctoral Clinical Psychology Intern at Yale University, showcasing his commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Charles's dedication to education is evident in his early roles as a Child and Parent Counselor at the Parent Consultation and Child Evaluation Services at the University of Maryland College Park, as well as his involvement as a Research Assistant at the same institution. Additionally, he has contributed to his community as a Surrogate Parent at Prince George's County, highlighting his well-rounded experience and commitment to making a difference.
