Charles Davis

Professor - Org Strategist - Racial Equity Researcher

Dr. Charles H.F. Davis III serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at the USC Race and Equity Center, where he leads strategic management and direction.

His responsibilities include overseeing the production of research, fostering collaborations among USC faculty and graduate students, and publishing a variety of research materials.

Dr. Davis is actively involved in research on activism, social justice, and identities in higher education, particularly focusing on college and university contexts.

He is engaged in a longitudinal research project with the Activist Millennials Project, studying activism and social justice organizing among millennials in educational and community settings.

Dr. Davis has a strong background in marketing, social media, and digital media content production, enhancing the national reputation of the research conducted by the Center and its affiliates.

He holds a Ph.D. from the Center for the Study of Higher Education at the University of Arizona, a bachelor's degree in English, a master's degree in Communications from Florida State University, and a master's degree in Education, Culture, and Society from the Penn Graduate School of Education.
