Highlights
This was last year on July 20th, 2023. I had told my friends at #Starassurance , Boatemaa Barfour-Awuah ACII, Bridgette Opoku-Sarkodie, ACII-UK that I wanted to provide an insurance coverage to the most vulnerable in Ghana. And we did it with Kowri , we insured 1000+ men and women for the first time. Our super dedicated team went in the street and onboarded the street vendors. The social impact of business at scale and changing people life is such an important aspect of the way I carry business operations, it has to go hand in hand.
I am carrying the same energy and passion at BBIF to provide value for the people, merchants and communities that we serve in Georgia, Florida and Alabama. Something big is coming! #leadership #socialimpact #finance #fintech

Today, I ran for Inez Long who passed away a few days ago. Her loss is a huge blow to the community and devastating for her family and friends. Yet, the race continues, and so does our understanding of the journey we’re on. We can't stop; we pick up our tears, mix them with sweat, and keep going.
Running teaches us about our boundaries and pace, using our past limits as a foundation for better performance. Working with Inez was like training with an experienced coach who always challenged me to do better, one stride at a time. I remember her asking, "Charles, do you think you can do it?" My response: "Not today, but give me 24 hours, and I’ll figure it out." She pushed me further, asking, "Can you speak to 30 people? 150? 1500+?" And each time, I would say, "Sure, let's do it. I'll be ready," and then train and practice relentlessly.
Race day is a test of our known limits, and Inez was always there with us at BBIF running alongside, and doing the work with us. She embodied humility, excellence, and a mission to elevate access to finance for all. She made sure we knew that sweat and effort are universal and that we should wear the team tee-shirt with pride, she was always opening the way.
Testing our limits in the face of effort, resilience, and consistency is crucial. Pushbacks and "NOs" are merely delayed gratifications for a future and different "YES." They are opportunities to get better. Failing is not an option; we either learn, or win for all. Learning makes us better human beings anyway. I’m sad, grateful and humbled for learning from the best.
I’ll finish the race and meet you at the finish line, Inez. Today, I ran for you.
