Charlie Stromeyer

Helped Pioneer AI for Software Coding, etc. | Mentor to Startups - 15 Exits

Charlie Stromeyer is an innovative visionary who has contributed significantly to the fields of enterprise software, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and cloud technology.

He collaborated with Ben Koo on pioneering Object-Process Network (OPN), which blended Petri nets with Bayesian belief networks to enable rapid ML with Bayesian inference, laying the foundation for the software behind DataXu, a programmatic advertising industry leader acquired by Roku.

In the realm of cloud technology, Charlie developed two technology and four business concepts for the intercloud, a network of interconnected clouds facilitated by software-defined networks (SDN).

His forward-thinking ideas extend to AI applications, as seen in his endeavors to democratize software coding through AI by leveraging deep learning on GitHub, proposing hybrid AI systems for adaptable ML approaches, and suggesting reinforcement learning and synthetic data usage for various applications.

Charlie has also made significant contributions to the startup ecosystem, mentoring numerous startups pre-Y Combinator and pre-Techstars, including winners of prestigious competitions like the MIT $100K and environmental accolades like the Earthshot Prize and Food Planet Prize.

In academia, he studied Cognitive Science and Writing at Oberlin College, and gained experience as a Stocks Investor at Individual Investor and a Summer Intern at Harvard University.
