Highlights
I want to share a personal story between Luke Shipley and I, to highlight an important cause that’s very close to our hearts.
When our son Louie was born last September, the hospital suspected he had a very rare and serious liver condition, one that meant surgery and potentially a liver transplant. Those early days were filled with fear, uncertainty, and a sense of helplessness. Watching Louie go through countless tests and the possibility of such a serious diagnosis was incredibly tough and made us realise just how precious life is.
Thankfully, Louie has since recovered, but during those tough times, the Children's Liver Disease Foundation gave us hope. Knowing that this charity was there to support families like ours really helped us get through each day.
Now, we want to give back to others going through similar challenges. We know how isolating and hard it can be to deal with a diagnosis like this, and we’re committed to raising awareness and offering hope to children with liver disease and their families.
At Zinc, we’re cycling from London to Paris, aiming to raise £20,000. And to make an even bigger impact, Zinc will match donations up to £10,000.
These funds will support vital research, provide essential services, and help raise awareness about children’s liver disease. But we can’t do it alone. We need your help to make a real difference. ❤️
Every mile we ride is for Louie, and for every child who deserves the chance to live a healthy, happy life. Your support, will mean the world to us and to the families who will benefit from it.
