Highlights
📢 I have been asked many times about the bridges i foresee between #Hospitality and #Beauty when it comes to #Marketing. To me, it is all about creating memorable brand universes ✍💫
It's about making people dream by immersing them in the brand's universe—going beyond the products and creating a lifestyle.
💄☘ Groupe Clarins is much more than efficient creams; Clarins is a lifestyle, it is about #plants power, #CSR, #heritage and #transmission of a French family and its commitments to #women 👩👧.
🏩 Same in #hospitality, it's not about a delightful hotel room, it is much more than this: it is about making a place come #alive, building a #community, and creating memorable 🙏 experiences that resonate all year long, beyond seasonality—a place where people want to return, and that they want to keep following throughout the year because it brings them something valuable, an emotion, a sense of well-being, a 'reason why.
Ando Living is much more than serviced apartments, it is about connecting with #travelers and locals alike, it is about understanding the history and feel the #vibe of the neighborhoods in which you stay in, feeling part of it and wanting to return.
👉💡I believe that for all marketers, the ultimate #goal is to achieve "situational awareness", meaning that your guests—whether hotel guests or beauty consumers—will remember you at the right moment. It's not just about guests knowing your brand; it's about them thinking of you when it's time to buy, it is about winning the mind. 💫
The marketing parallels between Hospitality and Beauty are numerous. ⏩ And in my next #post, I'll explore the many #luxury Beauty brands expanding into the Hospitality business. Stay tuned!
🇫🇷🌍 As the Paris 2024 Olympics open tonight and run until August 11, I wanted to take a closer look at the 63 French national #sponsors and particularly the 7 national #Premium sponsors, who will benefit from the 4 billion viewers worldwide, half of the global population!
💰The amounts invested to be part of the adventure are in line with the expected return: an average of 20M€ per national sponsor, up to an average of 90M€ for the 7 premium national partners: Accor, Groupe BPCE, Carrefour, EDF, LVMH, Orange and Sanofi . A 25% tax deduction will apply.
🏨In the #hospitality sector, Accor brings its #expertise to both the #athletes and the #media by providing, among other services, accommodation and concierge services.
LVMH explains: "LVMH's mission is to make people dream. That’s why we are partners."
#Marketing-wise, the major #advantages of being a sponsor are clear: worldwide visibility and business opportunities. ⏭️ Even before the Games begin, they benefit from the exclusive right to use and reproduce Olympic and Paralympic properties such as the Games' symbol (the rings), Olympic terms, mascots, and all graphic representations related to the Games. ⏭️ They also gain privileged access to the French Team athletes and the #Paris2024 ecosystem players.
Christian Dior Couture is organizing an exhibition of portraits of female athletes at Café Dior. CHAUMET is creating the trophies and Louis Vuitton designs the cases to hold them.
📈The expected Return on Investment?
Thanks to the growing popularity of the Games, ROI is primarily measured by the significant #visibility offered to sponsors. Circle Strategy estimates 464,000 broadcast hours (= 50 years!), compared to 367,000 for the Tokyo 2020 Games and 181,000 for the London 2012 Games. Massive!
-
First, the 63 #sponsors benefit from this incredible public visibility centered around the values of #courage, #competition, and #achievement.
-
They also enhance their employer brand internally, as 84% of employees say they are proud of their sponsoring company. LVMH received the Go for 30 Challenge Trophy, which aims to promote sports in the workplace and encourage employees to maintain regular physical activity.
-
And of course, sponsors strengthen their relationships with #public #authorities.
Enjoy the Games, everyone! And I look forward to 2028 in #LosAngeles!
