Want to delight your customers? Whack some lovely words in an unexpected place.

Finding bits of copy with personality in odd places is one of my favourite things. Brands that do this are masters of their voice — they’re assured enough to push their personality across channels that most of us don’t even think of.

📦 Bit of space on the box you use to send orders to your customers? > Use the opportunity to showcase your brand.

🎁 Underneath your packaging? > Put something quippy that screams “you”.

😵 404 page on your website? > Make it fun and a chance for customers to get the know your brand.

To do this, you need to be sure of your brand voice. It needs to be strong enough to set you apart and work in those hard-to-reach places.

But when it does, the results will speak for themselves. Customers will properly get to know your brand. They’ll tell their friends about you or share pics on social media (“When my order came from X, it had this adorable message on the outside of the box.”)

These forgotten channels are your low-hanging fruit — they won’t cost much to use, but they could massively improve your customers’ experience and perception of your brand.

Need to sort your voice out before you do this? Or want to work on some pithy, personality-filled lines to slap on the hard-to-reach places? Give me a shout and we can make some brand magic to get your customers to fall in love 💛

Not AI, I just like emojis 🤷‍♀️
