Chavonne Bowen

Graduate Student in Atmospheric Science at Howard University

Chavonne Bowen is a dedicated graduate student at Howard University, enrolled in the Applied Fluid and Thermal Engineering Laboratory Research Group under the Howard University Graduate Program in Atmospheric Science (HUPAS).

With a strong educational background, Chavonne completed her Bachelor's Degree at Notre Dame of Maryland University and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at Howard University, focusing on atmospheric science.

Having gained valuable research experience, Chavonne has previously served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, NANOGrav IRES Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and GRAD-MAP Winter Workshop Research Assistant at the University of Maryland College Park.

Chavonne's research interests span across various areas of atmospheric science, including atmospheric modeling, satellite signals and communications, space weathering, and its impact on lunar surfaces.

Driven by a passion for understanding the complexities of the atmosphere and its interactions with space, Chavonne is a promising researcher with a keen interest in advancing our knowledge of atmospheric processes and their implications.
