Chelsea Congdon is a dedicated film and media producer committed to sharing compelling stories about nature, sustainability, and positive social change.

As the co-founder of the Global Biodiversity Narrative Project, Chelsea is actively involved in creating and advocating stories that emphasize our interconnectedness with nature and promote a global movement towards transforming our relationship with the planet.

With a profound belief in the power of storytelling for social change, Chelsea has been a driving force at First Light Films, where she champions the idea that narratives shape values and beliefs, and endeavors to establish a new narrative around our connection with nature and each other.

Outside her media work, Chelsea has a rich background as a western water enthusiast, having dedicated over two decades to organizations like the Natural Heritage Institute and the Environmental Defense Fund, focusing on river management, water conservation, and environmental protection efforts in western US and Mexico.

Chelsea's academic journey includes a Master's Degree in Energy and Resources Group from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Natural Resource Economics from Yale University, highlighting her expertise in sustainability and environmental economics.

Driven by her passion for making a positive impact and inspired by her children, Chelsea is actively engaged in collaborative projects in Colorado, serves on the boards of prominent organizations like Western Resource Advocates, Colorado Rocky Mountain School, and Space for Giants, and advocates for being bold, innovative, and altruistic in personal and professional endeavors.
