He is currently serving as the Senior Humanitarian Regional Program Officer at USAID - Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance. Prior to this role, he held various positions within USAID, including Humanitarian Assistance Officer, Senior Disaster Operations Specialist, and Disaster Operations Specialist. He also has experience as the Director of Planning at the Baltimore City Mayor's Office of Emergency Management.

In addition to his work in the public sector, Chi-Poe Hsia has a background in healthcare and education. He has previously worked as a Paramedic at District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services, an Emergency Medical Technician at Georgetown Emergency Response Medical Service, and a Resident Faculty member at Georgetown Preparatory School.

Furthermore, Chi-Poe Hsia has gained valuable experience in the private sector, having worked as an Operations Manager at Interfolio, Inc and as a Global Risk Management Summer Intern at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
