Jack Rhysider narrates a story from his podcast "Darknet Diaries" about John Kane, a pianist and gambling addict, and Andre Nestor, who discovered a bug in the Game King video poker machines in Las Vegas. The bug allowed them to manipulate the game for massive payouts by changing their bet after winning hands. Initially, their strategy worked flawlessly, earning them thousands of dollars. However, their luck ran out when casino surveillance caught on, leading to John's arrest. Despite charges under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, both were eventually released due to legal ambiguities. While John returned to a normal life, Andre faced financial ruin with seized winnings and back taxes. The incident highlighted vulnerabilities in gaming machines and the potential for widespread exploitation.
