Chris’s career also includes a significant role at Orica, where, as the Global Purchasing Manager for Steel Manufacturing Plants from 2012 to 2014, he led global strategic sourcing and supply chain initiatives that shaped the organization’s steel procurement strategies across the globe. His ability to adapt to changing market conditions was showcased when he transitioned to self-employment from 2009 to 2012, further refining his expertise in the procurement field.
Earlier in his career, Chris held key positions at Toyota Tsusho America, where he was the Purchasing Manager and Production Coordinator within the AT&O Tech Division from 2004 to 2009 until the division was closed due to the impact of the 2008 automotive market downturn. Here, he was responsible for procurement and production in a substantial metal fabrication facility, which equipped him with deep insights into the metal industry supply chains.
