CALL FOR INTEGRATIONS
So... have you ever had the feeling that some systemic financial innovation is needed to accelerate the energy transition?
If so, Faster Climate Impact agrees wholeheartedly. FCI is the integrator for the climate emergency. We (I and my partners) are setting out on a journey to accelerate climate impact by bringing key links in value chains together under one corporate ownership-- acquiring and integrating vertically, and occasionally horizontally, to bring forward time to market and to bring forward the critical inflection point where the entire world says "OH! that's now a thing is it!?" and FASTER innovation diffusion and capital formation start in earnest.
Like Tesla, Apple (Computer), Cisco and H2 Green Steel have envisioned, and executed, before us, we will create category-defining companies, with world-class management teams, governance, engineering and strategic intent.
As our journey gets going, we are issuing a "Call for Integrations". A sober PowerPoint is attached here, feel to click through and kindly share widely... but in a nutshell, we are suggesting and asking--
*if you're an energy system entrepreneur, and Elon walked in the room to say "to make your company stronger, I want you to vertically integrate...." who would you buy, and to achieve what synergies?
*if you're an engineer or someone with deep energy system expertise, what are the synergies the world is missing with potential to solve the Faster Climate Impact puzzle?
In the defence and healthcare sectors, no one blinks at "early M&A" to create greater coordination as activity chains emerge-- when the goal is battlefield-ready weapon systems, or patient-ready care innovations, we accept the need for joined-up thinking in our innovation process. Yet in climate tech, we've adopted a software-derived style of VC investment that prioritises cherry-picking within value chains ahead of fast go to market in well-engineered and orchestrated value chains. Our thesis is that as the clock ticks down on the climate emergency, we need earlier joined up thinking.
Wondering "What's in it for me?"... click through to the ppt to see details of our Call for Integrations.
Look forward to driving Faster Climate Impact together.
