Highlights
Today I retired after 35 years as a global real estate executive, leader and developer - the last 12 years at Intuit, where I had the honor and privilege of guiding the amazingly talented Places organization including Global Real Estate, Design & Project Development, Site Services & Operations and Global Security. It’s been an awesome journey bringing incredible spaces to life at Hanna-Barbera Studios, Turner Broadcasting, Industrial Light + Magic, Lucasfilm, DreamWorks and finally, Intuit. What a gift to be able to express and enhance the culture, values and aspirations of a company through the environments and experiences we created.
I never imagined a kid with a BFA in Theater Management would have the opportunity to work with such gifted strategists, brokers, architects, designers, developers, contractors and technologists to create places that drive innovation, creativity and business outcomes for world-class, global media and technology companies.
The recent years have been among the most challenging and rewarding with developing a vision for the next chapter of where corporate real estate goes next, helping build the strategy for the workplace of the future while navigating a new post-pandemic hybrid workforce. What an exciting and demanding ride it’s been, even including leading a Covid task force in the quest to protect tens of thousands across our global workforce and their families and the eventual return to a ‘new normal’.
I am truly grateful to my amazing colleagues and friends at Intuit, and to all those I’ve had the pleasure to partner and work with throughout the many years. I’ve also learned so much from so many brilliant people I’ve worked with, too many to name but they know who they are. Collectively we’ve invested billions of dollars to build and operate millions of square feet in dozens of locations around the world that changed the trajectory of each organization. My sincerest gratitude and deepest thanks to you all. Now I’m on to a new chapter, whatever it may be.
So proud of the Intuit Places team who delivered yet another amazing hybrid workspace. We keep raising the bar with each new project across our global portfolio with the help of deeply talented partners.
