Next week I start a new role in ESG Risk with HSBC UK based in the Head Office in Birmingham. I’m thrilled to be making this career move within HSBC. My 15 years with the Securities Services business of HSBC have been even more varied and satisfying than I could have imagined when I joined in 2006. For the last five years I’ve been trusted to lead our ESG product initiatives for Securities Services, in addition to my market data product responsibilities. I have learnt a great deal through our deep-dive analysis and also the top-notch expertise, professionalism and dedication of colleagues. Throughout I’ve benefited from immense support from my managers. It’s been a privilege to work with our many global clients, market data suppliers and to contribute to industry groups such as Irish Funds Industry Association, EDM Council, 2SWG, FISD and (a few years back) the IA/TPA Solvency II ‘G7’ working group. The opportunity to make a positive impact through speaking at industry events has also been very rewarding. Onwards! My first Elizabeth Line journey. Canary Wharf to Liverpool Street in less than 10 minutes. A quiet and smooth ride and a bit more spacious than jubilee line. And I’ll definitely get to my meeting on time :-)
