Is the VC title misused? Are GPs similar to Home Brokers?

GPs over 10 years of the fund will receive 20% of its size. Even with 1-5% personal commitment, they net 15*% above the any risk level, so they should be called fund employees: managers or supervisors, but not investors.

The true risk-takers are the LPs, where real cash in on the line.

Hence calling GPs “VC investors” is a misconception; it’s like calling home brokers the real estate investors.

If you don’t risk, you ain’t a VC, you’re a guy/girl on a payroll - simple as that.
