Highlights
In the decades ahead, the world will need more energy, not less. And at today’s State of American Energy, API explained an energy agenda that ensures U.S. oil and natural gas companies will continue playing a leading role in global energy production. To meet future demand and ensure America retains its energy advantage, Washington must thoughtfully plan today for increased oil and natural gas production tomorrow. Our current rates of oil production are largely due to previous administrations' investments and supportive policies. Unfortunately, the Biden administration is doing the opposite. Restricting oil and natural gas risks creating new dependencies on unstable regions of the world and returning us to the energy scarcity we experienced half a century ago. There's a better way: An energy policy reset to unleash America's energy strength, now and for the future.
