Christopher Rochfort, a qualified horticulturist, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, is the CEO and Co-Founder of the STAR Water Group of Companies operating in multiple countries including Australia, China, Singapore, and the United States.

With 38 years of experience in the Horticultural, Environmental, Resource Recovery, and Water industries, Chris has actively contributed to shaping these sectors through frontier research projects, business development assignments, industry group formation, and technology transfer.

For the past two decades, Chris has focused on groundbreaking research involving the use of reactive filter media to treat various types of water pollution, including stormwater, industrial, mining, and agricultural waste waters. His research has been conducted in collaboration with prestigious institutions globally, such as the University of NSW, University of Technology Sydney, University of Newcastle, and others.

Utilizing his horticultural expertise, Chris has played a vital role in developing filter media that not only effectively treats pollutants but also supports plant growth. He has led research programs aimed at maximizing the use of recoverable resources, resulting in significant environmental, social, and economic benefits.

Following the completion of initial research, full-scale systems based on Chris's innovations have been successfully implemented across Australasia, South East Asia, and North America.

Chris Rochfort's past leadership roles include serving as the CEO of the Centre for Organic Research & Education (CORE) and EC Sustainable.
