Chris Sugg, Pharm.D, is the Head of Field Medical-Managed Markets at Novartis Oncology, overseeing US managed market strategy, health policy, and health outcomes for oncology, hematology, and rare diseases.

With a background in pharmacy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Chris has built a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry with experience at Novartis, Amgen, and GlaxoSmithKline in roles of increasing responsibility in both the US and global markets.

His international experience includes a role in London as Director of Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific at GlaxoSmithKline, where he gained insights into managed markets and payer dynamics to optimize product strategies for different regions.

Chris has expertise in biosimilar strategy, new product planning, outcome study designs, and expanding access to therapeutics by optimizing payer value propositions.

He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Applied Pharmacoeconomics, Health Outcomes & Health Policy at the University of Florida to further enhance his skills in health economics and improve patient outcomes.

Committed to oncology work due to personal reasons, Chris is involved in delivering regulatory approval for therapeutics globally and contributing to clinical and health outcome programs in various countries.

Outside of work, Chris is an active triathlete and volunteers as an AMCP Regional Diplomat.
