Chris Van Alstyne boasts over 30 years of extensive experience in Production Management and Technical Direction for Live Performances, covering a wide range of genres from Opera and Ballet to Theater, Circus, and Concerts.

With a solid background in Superior Technical Design, AutoCAD Drafting, Budgeting, and Scheduling, Chris excels in managing Labor, Facilities, Operations, and Logistics, both in Union and Non-Union environments.

His expertise extends to Expert level Carpentry and Cabinet Making, encompassing various specialties such as Millwork, Furniture, Display, Exhibit, Museum installations, Scenic design, Boat construction, as well as Commercial and Residential projects.

Chris Van Alstyne holds a Master of Fine Arts in Technical Design & Production from Yale University - School of Drama, and a Bachelor of Arts in Technical Theatre from the State University of New York at Fredonia.

Throughout his career, Chris has held prominent roles including Technical Director at the David H Koch Theater at Lincoln Center, Engineering Manager at Hudson Scenic Studio, Inc., Technical Director at Park Avenue Armory, and Director of Production/Technical Director at Sarasota Opera, to name a few.

His diverse professional journey has also seen him serve as a Realtor and Auctioneer at Alex Cooper Auctioneers, Inc., Production Manager at the Baltimore Opera Company, Technical Director for the Dralion Tour at Cirque du Soleil, and Production Manager at the Boston Ballet.

Chris' career includes stints as a Theatre Operations Manager at the CSI Center for the Arts, Carpenter at The Museum of Modern Art, and Cabinet Maker at Yamet Arts, showcasing his versatility and adaptability across different roles and industries.
