Chrisanthi Nega

Psychology Associate Professor, Experimental/Cognitive psychologist at DEREE-The American College of Greece

Chrisanthi Nega is a Professor of Psychology at The American College of Greece (ACG) and has served as the Psychology Department Head since January 2010.1 She earned her BA in Psychology from Deree-ACG in 1995 and her PhD in Memory and Cognition from City University, London in 2002.1

Dr. Nega's research interests primarily focus on working memory and facial affect recognition.1 She has conducted studies on subjective reports of states of awareness during memory tasks, as well as research on eyewitness memory, including lineup procedures and congruency effects in identification.1

As the Psychology Department Head, Dr. Nega has been instrumental in coordinating the department's program validation process with the Open University (OU) and is responsible for ongoing program review and monitoring processes.1 She is also a member of the British Psychology Society.1

In addition to her role as Department Head, Dr. Nega is involved in research projects at ACG. She is part of the scientific team for the RISE (Rise Empowered Above Sexual Violence in Sports) project, an Erasmus+ initiative aimed at addressing sexual violence in sports.2
