How do you like your bananas 🍌?

I like'em like this - sweet and ripe 😋 But supermarkets don't 🚮

The reason is obvious, but the outcome is devastating: €350 Billions worth of fruits and vegetables is being dumped every year.

Needless to say, the negative impact on the environment is enormous.

Unfortunately, it still makes economic sense for traders to over-order so they always have product available and just dump it when there is no buyer. The risk is passed on to the farmer anyways.

With Invisible Foods we want to change that! Traders can easily scan their excess fruits and veggies and make them available for upcyclers to buy at a heavily discounted rate.

Everyone wins:

  • traders earn money instead of spending money to dump
  • upcyclers save money by buying at reduced prices
  • the environment is less impacted as we need to grow less

Super excited to support Neville Mchina and the team from the sidelines as we take on one of the big #climatechange challenges of #foodwaste 💚
