Christie Edwards is a prominent figure with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in international law, human rights, and gender equality.

She holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence in International Law from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and a Master of Laws from American University Washington College of Law.

With a wealth of expertise, Christie has held key positions in various prestigious organizations, including serving as the Deputy Head and Acting Head of the Tolerance and Non-Discrimination Department at the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR).

Her experience also includes roles such as Adjunct Professor at The George Washington University, Director of International Humanitarian Law at the American Red Cross, and Helton Fellow at Association Solidarite Feminine.

Additionally, Christie has served as a Program Manager for Human Rights and MENA at Vital Voices Global Partnership and as an International Human Rights and Gender Expert in consulting roles.

Throughout her career, she has been involved in academia as a Dean's Fellow at American University Washington College of Law and as an Adjunct Professor at Thomas Jefferson School of Law.

Christie's dedication to human rights is further reflected in her past roles as a Pro Bono Asylum Attorney at her own law office, as well as her work with organizations like Survivors of Torture, International and Fit International.

Her varied experience also extends to the arts, having served as the Executive Projects Coordinator at the Museum of Photographic Arts.
