I'm thrilled to share that I was given the opportunity to participate in the Macy's 2020 Virtual Internship Experience last Friday. This program was intended to be an 8-week Merchandising Internship in the New York HQ this summer before COVID-19 presented broad shifts across every aspect of our lives. Despite the uncertainty, Macy's College Relations team put together a virtual experience that included Macy's key leaders to provide industry knowledge and insights to interns.
From six Macy's executive speakers, I learned about their career path, Macy's unparalleled culture, and different strategies on digital growth, trend forecasting, customer, diversity, and in-store experience. Under this leadership, I'm confident that Macy's would be able to navigate the crisis and shape a positive future post-COVID-19.
Even though this 8-week program had to be cut short, I am grateful to hear valuable insights from industry leaders and be part of the Macy's team. I would like to thank incredible senior leaders, Lindita A., and the rest of the College Relations team for providing such a priceless experience!
