Christina Lai

Adjunct Professor at University of North Florida

Christina Lai is a Manager of Education and Community Engagement with a background in music performance and piano. She holds a Doctor of Music in Piano Performance from Florida State University, as well as a Master of Music in Performance Piano from the same institution.2 Christina has experience teaching at various institutions, including Western Kentucky University, Florida State University, and the University of North Florida.1

As a musician, Christina is passionate about all fields of music teaching and collaboration. She has focused on bringing diverse repertoire to audiences in local communities, collaborating with chamber ensembles to support works written by female composers. Her collaborations include working with Pulitzer Prize winner Ellen Taaffe Zwilich, Missy Mazzoli, and Liliya Ugay.1

In addition to her teaching roles, Christina is a co-founder and Executive Director of Chamber Music Festanza, a unique chamber music intensive program. She has also taught at the Aspen Music Festival and School's Passes and Lessons Scholarship Program, DC Strings Workshop, Good Sam Arts, and UNC's Musical Empowerment.1
