Christina Lomasney

Christina Lomasney is a highly experienced executive, inventor, mentor, and leader in the fields of sustainable material supply chains, advanced materials, environmental remediation, and energy innovation.

She is passionate about increasing the participation of women in STEM fields and industrial trades.

As the co-founder of Modumetal, Christina served as the President and CEO for over a decade, successfully commercializing a revolutionary class of nanostructured metals and expanding production globally.

Under her leadership, Modumetal achieved significant revenue growth, global production capacity, and secured funding from prominent investors and customers like Founders Fund, Steel Dynamics, Chevron, and BP.

Before Modumetal, she co-founded Isotron, leading the company to profitability and developing advanced materials for environmental remediation and defense applications.

Currently, Christina leads Technology Commercialization at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, collaborating with industry partners in energy, biotech, manufacturing, advanced materials, and data sciences.

She also serves as a board director for JCDREAM.org, overseeing Washington State's critical material supply chain initiative, and has held board positions in various organizations including the Association of Washington Business Institute and METALSA's Innovation Council.

Recognized for her contributions, Christina has been named a Top 100 Woman in Tech (Seattle), IHS Energy Innovation Pioneer, Unreasonable Fellow, and a Fortune Magazine Most Promising Entrepreneur.

She holds a PhD in Engineering from The George Washington University, an MS in Physics from the University of Washington, a BS in Physics with a minor in International Business Administration from the University of Washington, and has also studied Corporate Leadership/Governance at Harvard Business School Executive Education.

Christina's professional journey includes roles such as Chief Commercialization Officer at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Entrepreneur In Residence at Washington State University, and Project Manager at Boeing.

She is a physicist, a registered patent agent, and a lifetime member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
