Highlights
After almost eight years at Center for Employment Opportunities I said goodbye last week to a mission and team that I care for so deeply. It was a full eight years personally and professionally -- building teams, launching new initiatives, navigating COVID, becoming a parent (x2!), moving to a new home, and more -- and I am so grateful to have had a job that inspired, supported and pushed me. Extra appreciation to Samra Haider and Samuel Schaeffer for your leadership and bringing me to CEO, and to the MANY friends and coworkers who made it a great place to be. This week I'm starting a new chapter with Delivery Associates - and hoping I'll continue to carve a professional path that brings me close to issues that matter and collaborators who make me want to show up to work every morning!
This was not an easy decision to make or a simple transition to navigate (subtext: I cried a lot)! LinkedIn makes job announcements look simple and celebratory, but I think they're always more complicated behind the scenes. To anyone out there struggling with similar decisions or trying to find their way to what's next, I'm sending you the best and always happy to connect.
Reconnecting and recalibrating on the future of work and workforce development at Jobs for the Future (JFF) Horizons conference this week along with Christopher Watler, Tamara Springs (she/her) and Casey Pheiffer. And finally meeting people OFF of zoom like Lucretia Murphy she/her/hers, Joshua Johnson and Andre P..
