BIG new achievement unlocked!
After coaching others for many years, earlier this year, I decided to pursue formal coaching certifications / credentials. Today, I earned what many consider a premier coaching credential from the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and I can now proudly include the letters “ACC” after my name.
I believe coaching is key to facilitating transformational learning and achieving measurable results. I also believe coaching is the single greatest skill a leader can learn and use in order to help individuals and organizations achieve their full potential. That is why it was so important for me to go on this learning journey as I can now even more confidently coach, lead, and teach others.
I could not have achieved this milestone without the support of many others and I apologize if I miss anyone with individual recognition.
First, thank you Andrew Neitlich Martha A. Clarke M.S., PCC, Michael Neuendorff, PCC, and Daiana Stoicescu, Coach Trainer, MCC by ICF 🚀 at the Center for Executive Coaching (CEC) for providing great training and mentor coaching. My learning experience with the CEC has been far beyond check the box training to simply qualify to take the ICF exam. I have learned so much over the past several months that I was able to immediately apply and improve my skills as an executive and leadership coach.
Next, thank you to my collaborators with the Coaching Certification Exam Prep LinkedIn group, Marielle A. Hajducko, MBA, ICF 🧬, Gordana Vujec, and Anitra St. Hilaire! I can now personally confirm that what we shared and did during the live exam prep sessions works like a charm! I am also thankful to all the people who attended the live sessions I facilitated and who have participated in the group. Having that interaction with peers was definitely helpful in my preparation. I strongly encourage others pursuing ACC and BCC credentials to join and actively participate in the group!
In addition, thank you to the many colleagues I interacted with in training and coaching sessions over the last several months. Special thanks to those who volunteered time with me on multiple occasions including Michele Moskonas, Dr. Shubhendu Kulshreshtha, Matthew Swanson, Wen-Min Ji, Nancy Fearson, Friederike Ranft, Kelly Klein, ACC, Chris Howe, and Mary Nease. Having to start the coaching hours clock at 0 and get to 100 before being eligible to take the exam seemed difficult at first but we made it and are now on the fast track to 500.
Finally, thank you to all the people I have coached in the past (pre certification journey) and to all those I have coached recently. It has been an honor to serve you and I am grateful for your trust. I look forward to accelerating my coaching practice and serving many more people in the future!
The past several months have been a whirlwind of growth and development and I have more opportunities in progress. So, stay tuned and please reach out if I can help you on your journey!
