Can't believe I've known this beautiful man for 20 years!! Great to see the fabulous Joel Makower in his element at the #greenbiz24 After Dark party.

Awesome event in Phoenix and got to connect with friends old and new. I was very grateful to be able to represent Seneca Environmental and lead a roundtable on the #climatejustice impacts of #cleanenergy projects.

For the first time in my career, I took a sabbatical, and I can’t recommend enough the importance of a solid break to my entrepreneur friends. We are all passionate about what we do and feel an urgency to build, strive, and grow. But if we don’t care for ourselves, we cannot be effective. Sharing here to let my network know what I’ve been up to, where I’m going next (to find allies and opportunities), and hopefully to inspire other entrepreneurs to greater self-care.

The time off started with rest and healing for me, as the combination of burnout and health issues required it. The time was also key to reconnect with my son, my passions, and my purpose. I took the opportunity to explore new passion projects (that may eventually lead to startups…but in the meantime remain in the realm of fun and entertainment). And to get a lot of support…physical therapy, a new therapist, a 13-week workshop, and multiple coaches. I built art, soaked in mineral hot springs in Big Sur, got involved in a web3 project, and met my local politicians. Then, I started my research. After 20+ years working for a better world and the last 5+ working in clean energy, I wanted to evaluate how I could best create impact over the next five years. I took advantage of the break to survey the landscape of climate tech, web3, and ESG movements to inform my next move.

The urgency of our social and climate crises is palpable like never before, and I’m ready to dive back in and make sh*t happen. I am not looking to build something from scratch, but instead to find quality teams and products that are ripe for massive scaling, deployment, and impact. Decentralization as a means to achieve resilience, equity, and economic development seems key. And decarbonization is a must. I have worn many hats as an entrepreneur in fast growing companies, and now am seeking to focus and work smarter. How will I do that?

In my last role, I was CEO of a clean energy hardware and software company I led through 15X expansion over three years, achieving profitability while also creating an industry-first financing product and the US’s largest energy resilience project. I am a force multiplier seeking an executive product leadership position that allows me to bridge technical, engineering, and customer audiences to accelerate adoption and build loyalty. I’m a natural storyteller with deeply held values and can ignite wonder and enthusiasm for world-benefiting solutions. I believe in the solutions and products I work on and strive to drive out errors, inefficiencies, and gaps in design, manufacturing, and deployment. I have a decade of leadership in software products and now have experience on hardware products as well. I am an empathetic leader with extensive culture and leadership training, international experience, and deep relationships in the industry. I look forward to hearing from you about your challenges and growth opportunities.
