Grant and Business Development Intern at Heartland Health Centers Chicago

Christy Savellano is a dedicated Advance Standing Master of Social Work Graduate Student at Loyola University Chicago, currently serving as a Graduate Assistant at the LUC School of Social Work. She is also gaining valuable experience as a Business Development intern at Heartland Health Centers in the Northside of Chicago.

With a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from Aurora University, Christy has a diverse background that includes interning with the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless. Her previous roles as a Resident Assistant for three years and as the Activities Programming Board Student Director for three years have honed her organizational and leadership skills.

Christy is known for her strong work ethic and personal qualities such as planning, adaptability, creativity, and optimism. She is driven by a passion to contribute to her community through program planning in the field of Social Work while also aspiring to explore different cultures worldwide.

As the Racial Equity Committee Co-chair at the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless, Christy actively engages in advocating for social justice issues. She embodies the philosophy of 'Be the change you wish to see in the world' by Mahatma Gandhi, demonstrating a commitment to making a positive impact on society.
