Cindy Chavez is a dedicated public servant representing Central, South, and East San Jose on the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors, advocating for the welfare of over 360,000 residents.

She chairs the Children, Families, and Seniors Committee and contributes to the Public Safety and Justice Committee, demonstrating her commitment to ensuring the well-being of vulnerable populations.

Before her tenure at the Board of Supervisors, Cindy held leadership positions as the Executive Officer of the South Bay AFL-CIO Labor Council and the Executive Director of Working Partnerships USA, showcasing her dedication to labor rights and equitable workplaces.

Cindy resides in San Jose's Naglee Park neighborhood with her husband Mike Potter and their son Brennan, embodying a commitment to her local community and its betterment.

She pursued her education at San Jose State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science, which equipped her with the knowledge and skills to excel in public policy and governance roles.
