“How are you doing? I don’t care about your job.”
I chuckled when I overheard this blunt demand. Yes, I was eavesdropping on a conversation between what looked like two friends that randomly bumped into each other while waiting for their orders outside of Vanessa's Dumpling House
But, I felt invested in their chit chat because it hit close to home. A nervous laugh was soon followed by, “We had a baby!”
In our work-obsessed culture, it’s easy to forget that we’re more than our work: more than our salaries, more than how many connections we have on LinkedIn, more than our titles, and on.
So, how are you doing? Let’s catch up? https://lnkd.in/gCQRfg6q
